EJ's Pizza
When I walked into EJ'S Place with my brother, I was immediately greeted by a restaurant with sad colored walls and depressing decor. I was not exactly impressed. Ultimately, however, EJ’s taught me an important lesson: never judge a book by it's cover, nor a restaurant by it's look. When I got on line for my salad, I noticed how the food was on display for my eyes to appreciate. This helped me get into the mood to eat. My brother was on line looking at the displayed pizza pies; everything looked great to him, as he was having trouble deciding, due to all the varieties and flavors. Lucky for us, we could take our time in deciding because, even with a few kids, it was not all that busy. I got myself a salad and my brother got a plain slice of pizza. We found the price for the salad to be average and the pizza to be really cheap. We enjoyed the meal greatly, my brother describing how, even though the pizza was slightly overcooked, it still tasted great, its hot marinara sauce, chock-full full of basil and garlic blended with the cheese perfectly, one not overpowering the other. My salad was a salad of my own choosing, and I enjoyed my choices greatly. We were lucky that our wait was short. We have heard that when it gets busy, the wait time for food can be 20+ minutes. After the meal was over, I reflected on what I thought about EJ'S. Overall I think that the pizza place is a great place for some quality food and pizza at a cheap price. However, I would steer clear of it when it gets busy and eat at home, instead of eating at the restaurant.

Rock N Roll Sushi
Walking into Rock N Roll Sushi, you see a nice looking place with music in the background, nice decorum, records and posters of various bands from the ‘80s and ‘70s hanging on the wall. I was pretty impressed with what I seeing. Then you look at the prices-with entrees costing as much as 22.95.Student discount it is then. This was my first (and only) experience with Rock N Roll, and I was glad that I was able to get the student discount, because the prices are expensive. I ordered a vegetable roll form the student discount menu, and proceeded to sit down at a table, waiting for my food. I didn't have to wait long, as my food took less than two minutes to prepare. When I looked at the way that my sushi was shown to me, I was quite amused. The sushi was served on a wooden board with wasabi and and ginger and chopsticks. Average in theory, but cute to look at. I did enjoy how the sushi tasted, but if I had to be honest, I would describe the sushi as tasting a little bit above average, nothing really special. I am rather lucky that I find sushi filling, because the portions are something to be desired. The person reviewing with me ordered a spicy salmon roll and found that to be quite delicious, the mayonnaise-esque spicy sauce blending well with the soy sauce and hot salmon. Overall I think that Rock N Roll is a decent sushi place that is a little bit on the pricey side; however, it really does not add anything new to the table in terms of food, and portion size.

Sammy's New York Bagels
In the past,I have had a consistent record of negative experiences at Sammy's. The service, price and overcrowded environment, leaves room for improvement, so we had pretty low standards to give Sammy’s a fair chance in satisfying us. However, we should have kept our expectations a lot lower. When we got there, the bagel part of the restaurant (we refused eating at the pizza store seeing how insanely crowded it was) was decently crowded. When we looked at the prices, it made me happy to see that they were cheaper than expected, well, except for the drinks. Gershon ordered a muffin, and I ordered a plain toasted bagel. However, it all went downhill from there. While the food tasted good, with the bagel tasting fresh and the double chocolate chip muffin tasting, “rich and warm,” according to Gershon, the process of getting the food was pretty miserable. The cashiers made mistakes getting our orders ready and prepared, and for a few minutes we were completely ignored until we were finally noticed. Worst of all though, was that they were rushing me, throwing my food in a bag as quickly as possible. That was it, just moved from point A to point B, with no concern about the customer. It took triple the time it should have to give a pre-made muffin and plain bagel to us when their was only three other people on line at the most. However, credit is given where credit is due, and the food was great and the store looks nice, with its red brick ovens and burlap. When the two of us were walking away, we found that, even with all its flaws, Sammy’s is a decent restuarant, however where it falls, it falls hard.

Schnitzel+
I usually don’t eat at Schnitzel+, so when I went with Gershon Engel, I was expecting a sub par experience. However, my expectations were blown out of the water. When we walked inside, we were taken aback by how clean the entire restaurant was.The tables are impeccable, and one cannot find a speck of dirt ingrained on the wall tiles, unlike most restaurants. There was a display of a wide array of foods from chicken wings to chocolate chip cookies at the counter, and there are multiple television screens spread across the premises so one could see bright, flashing images of juicy burgers and other foods on their menu from across the street. Impressed with how good the restaurant looked, we got online for the cashier, and were pleasantly surprised by how well we were treated by the cashier. The cashier treated us as important customers, and she also wanted to get every single detail correct to avoid any careless mistake. Looking at the prices, they were rather average for a meat restaurant, I decided to get the Mediteranian salad, and Gershon got the Pretzel Sandwich. However he was conflicted about getting the sandwich or getting the chicken fingers, which he says tasted great and is cheap if you buy it in a group. When we actually started eating we were delighted that both of our meals tasted great. My salad was a perfect combination of fresh veggies, all tasting fresh and crunchy. Gershon’s sandwich, while packed together like any classic sub, it is still possible to taste the crunchy outside of the chicken, while the inside of the chicken was white and tender. It is also encouraged to try out your combination of sauces, which Gershon happily did. We recommend schoug and amba, which really brings out the savory chicken flavor. Overall, Schnitzel+ is a great meat restaurant, that serves large portions, and is a great place to bring friends and family. However, it is advised to go for dinner, due to how big the portions are.
