One of the things we, at TABC, boast about most is the lunch food. We brag about how we are located so close to Queen Anne Road, the restaurant hub of the Teaneck area. But one of the lesser known facts about our school is that it also takes its breakfast selection very seriously. In fact, the morning cereal has long been a staple of TABC student life. Recently, however, the student body has felt that the options for cereal have been somewhat lacking. But has it actually?
The first issue in this theory is the Krave cravings. Every person seems to want to have the delicious chocolate cereal for breakfast. The second a box of regular Krave comes out, students pile on top of each other just to get a bowl. After the brawl is over and the Krave is finished, students complain that there is no cereal left. Meanwhile, if they would take step back and look around the lunchroom, they would see that there are tons of cereal still left on the tables. Just because the Krave is gone doesn’t mean there are no other options.
A poll was conducted throughout the school asking what the students thought was the best cereal in TABC, and the results testify to Krave’s enormous popularity. But students feel that there are other good options as well.
Another common occurrence is finding cereal around the school. For some reason, people don’t feel it is necessary to put away the cereal after they are finished with it, and instead leave in the classroom where they eat. This results in cluttered classrooms and the loss of perfectly good cereal boxes from the school’s breakfast storage.
Ultimately, what TABC students fail to see is that other schools don’t have nearly as wide a selection of breakfast options as we do. For instance, most middle schools provide a breakfast consisting solely of Corn Flakes and Cheerios. We at Torah Academy should take a step back and see how lucky we are to have all of these cereals in stock. If only we would realize that we have many more choices than what meets the eye, we would certainly appreciate our morning meal.
