A private school is defined as a school that does not receive funding from the state government. TABC, a Modern Orthodox Yeshiva high school, is a private school and receives funding from tuition. Private schools can generally establish their own regulations and are not given specific instructions on how to run the school. However, as with all states, New Jersey does place some requirements on private schools. We looked at some of the laws the state of New Jersey places on private schools in conjunction with the curricula and programming at TABC..
We created a chart mapping the laws placed on private schools. In the first column, we summarized the law and attached a link to the official text of the law. In the second column, we write whether or not TABC upholds this law, and in the third column, we give an explanation.

For the most part, TABC complies with the state-mandated regulations. However, TABC does not fully adhere to the fire safety laws. Fire safety is a very important issue and TABC needs to conduct fire drills more frequently and provide courses on fire safety. We commend TABC for mostly upholding the state-imposed laws and hope that it will eventually adhere to all the regulations.
