The Torah Academy sports teams remain in solid standing through December. The JV Basketball team improves to 5-1 after a big win over SAR. The scoring was led by Avi Proctor and Yoni Mann. The Storm now has a long break until their next game on January 5th at Heschel.
The Varsity Basketball team is now 6-3, after a tough loss to SAR. TABC was leading all games, bringing the lead into the fourth quarter. With 6 seconds remaining on the clock, the SAR Sting pulled ahead to take the win. Following a tough loss, Varsity gets a long break as well, until their game against MTA on January 9th.
The underdog Varsity Hockey team has been exceeding everyone’s expectations and now boasts a 6-2-0-1 record. The Storm team members are coming off a huge win over Ramaz, always a tough opponent. After falling behind 2-0, the team stormed back for a 4-3 victory. The team then took on the Kushner Cobras, defeating them 6-2. The Storm is looking forward to their next game at Frisch.
The JV Hockey team is now 6-0, following a big win against ramaz. The Storm shut them out 3-0. They look forward to facing the Frisch Cougars once again on January 5th, where they will attempt to keep their undefeated season alive.
After Chanukah the TABC sports program will look to make a final push towards the playoffs. The Varsity Basketball team almost certainly solidifies a playoff spot with one more win. Same goes for JV basketball. Varsity hockey is right around the corner from a playoff berth, and JV hockey has already clinched a playoff spot. The TABC sports program is doing great!
