The defending champions, the New England Patriots, will be without starts both on offense and defense. They lost future Hall of Famer Tight End Rob Gronkowski to retirement and star Defensive End Trey Flowers in free agency to the Detroit Lions. This will definitely hurt them.
The Kansas City Chiefs, the team that lost the Conference title to the Patriots, are looking to make a Super Bowl run behind MVP Patrick Mahomes. Their offense contains great stars like Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins. We can expect them to have another terrific season.
Other teams that will compete in the AFC and possibly make a run at the Super Bowl are the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colt, and the Houston Texans. All these teams have young Quarterbacks leading the team; they also have the right amount of veteran players in the locker room to take the team to the next level.
In the NFC, the Los Angeles Rams (the team that lost in the Super Bowl) is looking to make another run behind Quarterback Jared Goff; he’s had three great years with the Rams so far. However, star running back Todd Gurley will be limited this season because of arthritis in his knee. This will be a tough challenge to overcome for the NFC Champions.
The team that lost the conference to the Rams, the New Orleans Saints, are lead by future Hall of Famer Drew Brees and are looking to make that extra step to the Super Bowl after back-to-back heartbreaking losses in the playoffs.
Other teams that can make a Super Bowl run in the NFC are the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings.
In the Super Bowl, I predict that the New England Patriots will be facing the Green Bay Packers, with the Packers winning it all. This Season should be packed with crazy games and moments.
